GOAL: $1.5 MILLION

One vision. Many gifts. For the people. Always Jesus.

We believe God is inviting every person who calls Banner home to participate in crossing over into the miracle of our new home. Banner Church was never built on the backs of a few, but on the sacrifices of many. The goal isn’t just a dollar amount or about who can give the most. The heart is that “the people gave willingly and wholeheartedly” (1 Chronicles 29).

Our prayer is for 100% participation, led by the Holy Spirit, not just to build a building but to reach an entire city. As you pray over this gift chart, would you pause to ask God – How can I be a part of making a place for more people to find Jesus, and what commitment can I make over the next 24 months to help make that a reality?

Crossing Over

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

”So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.’”

[ JOSHUA 1:9-11 ]

We believe in the power of prayer and that God responds when we pray!

GIVE TODAY

Our vision to build a new home for the people of Seattle isn’t accomplished through the efforts of a few, but through the sacrifices of many. Every gift represents a lost person found, a story of lives changed, an entire family transformed, a young person healed, and a city changed for future generations. You can start regular giving, make a one time gift, or pledge a 24 month commitment to help reach our goal of $1.5 million here.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Make room for the people of Seattle.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message” John 17:20

Our new worship center will nearly double our seating capacity to 500–550 seats, creating room for more people to encounter the presence of Jesus and discover new life in Him. But we’re not just making room for more seats—we’re making room for more stories. More stories of life change, miracles, salvation, healings, restoration, and decisions to follow Jesus as we experience the presence of God in worship and open His word together.

Room for our friends, family, coworkers, roommates, neighbors, and the thousands of people across Seattle who are searching for hope, purpose, belonging, and something bigger than themselves. We believe God has called Banner to be a home like heaven for the people of our city—a place where people from every background can encounter Jesus, find freedom, grow in faith together, and become who God created them to be.

2. Deeper connection and community.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

Our new indoor lobby and outdoor patio will create significantly more space to linger, connect, grab a coffee, meet someone new, and build meaningful relationships before and after every service—and throughout the week, in every season of the year.

We’re creating places where people can belong and call home. Places where conversations go deeper, friendships are formed, newcomers become family, and our church becomes a true gathering place for the people of Seattle. We want our building to be more than a place we attend, but a spiritual family we belong to.

3. Reach the next generation.

“Until I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18

Our new Banner Kid’s space will give the next generation a carefully thought out place designed for them to encounter Jesus, build friendships, learn scripture, and grow in their faith. With more room and intentional environments for kids and families, we can welcome more children and families from across our city and create a foundation of faith that lasts a lifetime.

In fact, this building project will free up our entire current building to fuel ministry for the next generation of kids, youth, college students, and young adults with our current sanctuary turning into a chapel dedicated to worship and prayer gatherings which is at the heart of who we are. We believe the next generation isn’t just the future of the church—they are the church today. We’re building a space where the next generation can know Jesus, discover who they are in Him, and grow into the leaders, worshipers, and difference-makers God has made them to be.

4. Host discipleship and local outreach.

“Equip the saints for the work of ministry.” Ephesians 4:12

More space also means more opportunities to disciple people and help them take their next step with Jesus. Our new building will create room for outreach events, discipleship classes, leadership training, and environments where people can grow deeper in their faith, be equipped through God’s word, discover their purpose, and be released into leadership. We want to create a church that doesn’t just gather on Sundays, but equips people to live on mission throughout the week and releases another generation of pastors, business leaders, local and global missionaries, and more. It will also make room to host our community and build local partnerships so our building can be utilized to practically bless those in need and seek the welfare of our city.

The true purpose of the building campaign is to make room for more people — our friends, family members, coworkers, and the next generation to find and follow Jesus in Seattle. It’s about getting the life changing message of the Gospel out in greater measure to the most unchurched city in America. By the grace of God, we’re quickly running out of space across three services with over 1,000 people calling Banner home in less than two years!  Our new worship center will do two things: double our seating capacity in the new worship center to 500-500 seats AND allow our entire current building to be revamped and utilized for our growing kids, youth, and young adults ministries.

Crossing Over is based on Joshua 3 where the leaders of Israel decided to choose faith over fear to cross over the Jordan River into the Promised Land that God had given them. We believe the miraculous gift of the warehouse is a similar moment in time for our church to do the same, in faith, for the sake of Jesus’ mission through Banner Church.

We’re working with renowned architecture firm Risepoint to complete this projects. Initial testing and design has already begun. We’re slated to break ground in December and complete the project by September 2027 just in time to move in for our three year anniversary as a church!

All gifts, either through a one time gift or a pledge, toward the building campaign go to a designated fund stewarded by our church council that can only be used for the purposes of completing the project. This is a restricted fund to ensure all money is being used in proper stewardship. All funds thus far have been kept in that designated fund and have only been used towards the building project.

Absolutely! The church is the people — the body of Christ. But here’s why we believe crossing over to expand our reach through this building is so important.

  • Buildings aren’t the church but they serve the church. It’s a home base for ministry. It’s a place we encounter God in life changing ways, it’s where we gather to train and equip people, to become future disciples and leaders of faith in the world, it’s where we serve families and see our kids make friends and connect to a personal relationship with Jesus through services, camps, and more, it’s where we provide space to meet the needs of our community and send people out to love and transform our city. Those are just a few examples of how buildings provide space to serve the church and see God move!

  • It’s home. Everybody needs a home, and the church is a spiritual family that provides what nothing else in the world can. In a city where a sense of home and deep relationships feels elusive, in a city that is painfully under-churched, and in a city where houses of worship are being relegated into coffee shops, event venues, corporate spaces, and museums of what God used to do, we believe the mere act of building a physical space of worship that will make more room for people to find Jesus in Seattle is spiritually and historically significant in its message and impact.

  • Banner Church is living in a real life miracle. From our growth, to inheriting one building, to being gifted another is truly a miracle unfolding in front of our eyes. Nobody could write this story but Jesus. This is Book of Acts stuff we’re experiencing. We believe that God has already provided 80%. He’s just asking us to partner with Him, step into obedience and cross over into the other 20% to see the miracle continue and transform the spiritual direction of our lives, our families, our children, and our city. There’s an acceleration of the vision God has for Seattle that’s happening in our lifetime and we get to be a part of that!
